Re: The Dome Arena
I loved the arena football game. I had season tickets for all five years the Buffalo Destroyers were here. The team wasn't very good. But the game was alot of fun to watch. I miss the Buffalo Destroyers alot. And I hope Buffalo gets a arena football or indoor football team someday again.
Lots of scoring and the game was very cheap to attend. My season tickets in those day where $50 for the season. It was good triple-a level football. Some of the Buffalo Destroyers would go and play CFL when the Arena Football season ended.
I remember one week Tony Burse running back was playing for the Buffalo Destroyers at the end the season and the following week I flicked on a CFL game on tv and Tony Burse was playing fullback for the Toronto Argos so that was cool. What I like about the arena/indoor football game was you have all year football.
It was a good football fix till the NFL and College Football season. I am a little surprised that the indoor football game hasn't taken off in Rochester since it is the only football played in town. Isn't Thurman Thomas a part owner of the Rochester Raiders?
I personally can't wait for the day to come when Buffalo gets another chance in either the AF1 or IFL. Because the price to watch football is a good bargain and like I said it is all year football. I use to have season tickets for three football teams in Buffalo. The Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Bulls and Buffalo Destroyers those where good days and times year round football.
National football signing day for Buffalo Bulls tommorrow can't wait then Blue-White Game in April and the NFL Draft for the Buffalo Bills. Good luck to the Rochester Raiders this season I think they have a few UB Bulls each year on the team. Let's Go Buffalo
